One’s individual and unique attributes that make up their personal sense of self and which impact their experience of and within the world.
Frames disability as an inherent part of a person’s experience of the world and acknowledges that truly seeing a person means seeing the totality of their experience; it incorporates disability into identity, characterizing it as a valuable aspect of self rather than as something bad that needs to be isolated and fixed.
Invented language; usually a trait of Gestalt Language Processing.
The act of extending fellowship, membership, association, and connection, and ensuring differing needs aren’t a barrier to participation.
Sharing information in great detail about a beloved topic/joyful occupation as a means of building a connection with something; sharing in this way with someone who listens can be exhilarating and restorative. Pathological/deficit framing of info-dumping characterises it as: poor turn-taking, social deficits, interrupting, lack of reciprocity, ignoring social cues, being repetitive and overly verbose, and demonstrating a lack of awareness of social conventions.
