Sharing information in great detail about a beloved topic/joyful occupation as a means of building a connection with something; sharing in this way with someone who listens can be exhilarating and restorative. Pathological/deficit framing of info-dumping characterises it as: poor turn-taking, social deficits, interrupting, lack of reciprocity, ignoring social cues, being repetitive and overly verbose, and demonstrating a lack of awareness of social conventions.
