Joyful Occupations

Coined by Carrie Watts in 2024 as an alternative to standard pathological framing of “special interests” or “obsessive interests”, this term creates space for the reality that there are certain topics, hobbies, etc., that bring the purest joy to neurodivergent people and these should be valued rather than questioned.
