Accessibility
This site has been designed with accessibility for a wide range of support needs in mind. Thriving Families are committed to making the information available accessible by everyone, regardless of preferred web browser or individual need. Standard practice for this website is to use Alt Text on an image only when an image conveys information necessary for the meaning of the page, such as when a diagram demonstrates how to do something. User Privacy
The privacy of users is of utmost importance. The Highland ND Hub will not collect or use and personal data. As host to the Highland ND Hub, Thriving Families may have need to collect user data; any and all collected user data will be maintained in accordance with the Data Protection Act (DPA) and the UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR), meeting their legal responsibilities to protect all shared information. No data will be passed on to other organisations without prior approval, unless there is a legal requirement to do so.
Thriving Families will be transparent with users on why and how they collect, use, and protect their personal data; it is legal for Thriving Families to process user information when they have a genuine and legitimate interest, as long as, in doing so, they do not harm the rights and interests of the user.
When users contact the Highland ND Hub via Thriving Families to access services, Thriving Families may seek their consent to collect, use, and store their data for the purposes of providing appropriate supports.
Users do not have to give consent to receive support; however, without consent, Thriving Families will be unable to retain user details for future use and they are limited in their ability to provide a continuity of service.
As providers of a confidential service, the employees of Thriving Families do not discuss Service Users with anyone out with the organisation without prior permission, unless there is a serious concern about the safety and wellbeing of a child or young person. When there is a concern about safety and wellbeing, Thriving Families has a duty to follow the Highland Child Protection Guidance.
